Most roof windows – around 95 per cent – can be installed internally, eliminating the need for external scaffolding. This internal installation process is quick and efficient, often completed in as little as four hours for a single window. If you need more than one window, additional accessories or require a more complex installation, we will be able to advise you regarding all timings.

Will you visit my property before any installation?

We will gain precise measurements to ensure a seamless fit for your new Velux window, so are happy to visit your site to take detailed measurements. If you are thinking about a replacement, we can also visit to offer expert advice on selecting the right Velux product.

What is the difference between centre-pivot and top-hung roof windows?

Centre-pivot windows rotate almost 180 degrees for easy cleaning, while top-hung windows, hinged at the top, offer unobstructed views. Both types can be cleaned easily, making the best choice a matter of personal preference.

Can Velux roof windows be fitted in any roof pitch?

Velux roof windows are designed to fit a variety of roof pitches, including pitched and flat roof windows. We also supply and fit Velux low-pitch windows designed for homes with low pitches from 10-20 degrees. Top-hung windows suit pitches from 15 to 75 degrees, while centre-pivot windows fit 15 to 90-degree slopes. The exact fit depends on your roof materials and flashing, and we will be able to advise you.

What guarantees does your company offer?

Velux provides a 10-year manufacturer’s guarantee on its roof windows, covering the window itself, flashing, and glass. Blinds and electric windows have a three-year guarantee. As TrustMark members, our installation work comes with a six-year guarantee, giving you added peace of mind.
